Welcome to Salsa Casino & Rueda San Diego! We are San Diego's top Cuban salsa and Rueda de Casino class studio! We love Casino and Rueda de Casino, and are crazy about Timba and the best salsa music. Cuban salsa Casino is a dynamic, energetic and fun-filled style of salsa dancing that developed in the casinos of Habana, Cuba in the 1950s. The dance, just as all styles of salsa dancing, blends Afro-Cuban dance forms with Son Cubano and other rhythms to produce one of the most dynamic styles of salsa dancing. The Rueda takes it to even the next level, by having multiple couples get together and dance salsa patterns at the same time while the Rueda leader calls out patterns by name. It is the only form of salsa dancing that brings people together to dance as a community. It is social dancing at its best and most fun! Come to our classes and see just how fun salsa dancing can be, and why Casino & Rueda de Casino has become a worldwide phenomenon!

Our group classes are held on:

Sundays at Dance Place San Diego @ NTC Promenade, Point Loma (Liberty Station)

Beginner & Intermediate classes held simultaneously in Rm 106 at 4pm and open dancing practice session at 5pm. $15 for 2 hours of dancing!

Mondays at The Wood Room Performing Arts Studio at 3800 30th St., San Diego, CA 92104, in the heart of North Park, right off University Ave. Class at 8:30pm for all levels, focused on footwork and stepping. $10/hr. See you in class! Una bulla!

Lead instructor Vidal Cordova has been dancing Casino & Rueda exclusively for the last six years, and he received his training under some of Cuba's and the U.S.'s best Casino dancers and master instructors from Cuba and in the U.S. At our class you will learn how to execute all the cool Cuban salsa patterns, own the unique footwork and build a sweat as you dance to the world's best salsa music today! Our classes are the best in town because we break every pattern down to its most basic element, to make sure even the most novice of dancers get the patterns solid and are dancing within minutes! No such thing as two left feet in our class!

We also hold monthly socials and dance outings, so just look out for the Ruedas at the clubs and stop by and say hello, and join the most fun salsa dancing crew in San Diego!
